How to Replace Your Laserjet Toner Cartridge
There is a first time for everything, and when you get a new Laserjet printer you will have to replace your LaserJet toner cartridge for the first time. Typically, this is a simple process but you should read through these instructions first to make sure that you do everything properly. Changing your toner for the first time should only take you a few short minutes.
First of all, you’ll need to find the part of your computer that opens up to have access to the Laserjet toner cartridge. Once you open up the correct spot your cartridges should be visible. Most laserjet toner cartridge cavities are latched into place. You will have to remove this latch in order to pop out your old cartridges.
Once you have successfully removed your old cartridge, make sure that the new one is free of debris or any packaging material before placing it into your printer. You’ll want to insert it the same way that you took your old toner out and then secure whatever latch or mechanism that holds the cartridge in place. Now you can close up your printer and print out a test page in order to confirm your success. The test page will print with color and black toner so that you’ll be able to tell that it is working regardless of the toner cartridge that you had to replace.
If you experience any problems while changing out your toner or if you change your toner and your printer is not printing at all or printing correctly, you can consult your owner’s manual or an online resource for more information. If you printer won’t print you may have to install the software for it onto your computer or you may have to set your printer as the default printer in your computer settings.
